Housekeeping Room Attendant

Job Description-The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removal of trash etc.

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate; Housekeeping room attendant certification

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year

Salary- $15.00HOUR hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Specific Skills
Address customers’ complaints or concerns; Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture; Stock linen closet; Pick up debris and empty trash containers; Handle and report lost and found items; Dust furniture; Distribute clean towels and toiletries; Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items; Make beds and change sheets; Provide basic information on facilities; Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors; Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
